The opportunity

An HSE & Sustainability Specialist plays an important role in supporting Semiconductors organization in Lenzburg by implementing, monitoring, and continuously improving HSE & Sustainability management system across the whole factory. This role is responsible for managing Health, Safety, Environmental, Sustainability documentation, assessing compliance with standards and preparing accurate HSE reports and overviews. It supports alignment with ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and Hitachi Internal requirements, enhances overall HSE performance and capability, and promotes a proactive safety culture.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Prepare instructions and internal rulebooks in the area of HSE & Sustainability and keeps local operating system updated in line with inputs from HSE team members and other stakeholders

  • Help with rollout, implementation and control of different HSE standards.

  • Participate in country HSE community meetings and initiatives and shares ideas and findings with local team and works on action implementation

  • Organize and conduct HSE trainings

  • Organize preventive and periodic examinations of workplace conditions and works on occupational hygiene topics (noise, chemical exposure, radiation protection and other working conditions)

  • Update regularly chemical inventory, create MSDS lists and support waste disposal pickup and follow up documentation

  • Assist in PFAS and in REACH SVHC assessment

  • Update Red Online system with inputs related to local legislation in the area of HSE

Your background

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in environmental engineering or health & safety engineering.

  • Experience in Health, Safety, Environment and Sustainability team within an international industrial environment.

  • Fluency in English (both spoken and written) is required with Intermediate German knowledge as a minimum. Additional languages are an advantage.

  • Good understanding of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards is required

  • Proactive, structured, and collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across different cultures.

  • Candidate should possess strong organizational and analytical skills, demonstrating a high level of accountability and attention to detail.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and drive results
