Role Overview

Hillel International is seeking a Grants Associate to help support a multi-million dollar portfolio of grant initiatives. In this dynamic role, you will work to ensure the smooth operation of our grantmaking process with the goal of making a real impact on Jewish life on college campuses. You will learn how to use our Grant Management System, Fluxx to create and edit applications, reports, and other documents, generate grant agreements, schedule reports, and make payments. This entry-level position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, process-driven, and excels in a fast-paced environment. The position is completely remote and candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.

What You’ll Do

Grant Administration

  • Create and edit applications, reports, and agreements within Fluxx.
  • Review and test applications, reports, and agreements in Fluxx to ensure they are built appropriately. 
  • Enter information into Fluxx, including dates, award information, payments, reports, etc.
  • Run reports in Fluxx to export information as needed for decision-making or reporting.
  • Input data from Fluxx into tracking spreadsheets to inform decision-making and reporting to leadership.
  • Coordinate with the Fluxx Administrator throughout the grant process.

Customer Service 

  • Respond to grant applicant questions promptly.
  • Follow-up with grant applicants when information is missing from applications/reports or when deliverables are overdue.

General Support

  • Support the Strategic Grants Manager with a specific portfolio of grants.
  • Manage the Google Drive folder with materials from each grant round.
  • Review documents and reports for completion and accuracy.
  • Draft communications for grant launch and award emails.
  • Create and maintain relevant grant materials on Hillel’s intranet.
  • Schedule meetings and other tasks as needed.

Who We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 0-2 years of professional work experience.
  • Ability to learn processes and databases quickly.
  • Proficiency in using Excel/Google Sheets.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • A willingness and eagerness to learn.
  • Ability to work well both independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, multi-task and adapt quickly as needed.

What You’ll Receive

  • Competitive salary in the nonprofit marketplace. The salary range for this role is $46,000- $52,000 annually.
