Figure is an AI Robotics company developing a general purpose humanoid. Our Humanoid is designed for corporate tasks targeting labor shortages and jobs that are undesirable or unsafe. We are based in Sunnyvale, CA and require 5 days/week in-office collaboration.
We are looking for a Senior Reliability Test Engineer in charge of designing and executing test plans for our humanoid robots that ensure they are meeting our lifetime reliability targets. We need someone who can develop test plans before we determine the exact use case, analyze failures and give data-driven recommendations to the design team for what to fix, and can advocate for design for reliability in our early product design meetings.

- Develop and execute accelerated life tests spec for actuators, batteries, structures, bushings, wirings, sensors and full system
- Lead and organize DFMEA efforts with hardware engineers to ensure issues are caught before production
- Author reliability test procedures
- Work alongside with reliability test engineers to define testing fixtures, electronics, and codes
- Define our reliability strategy using a data-driven approach
- Document failures and work with design engineers (ME and EE) to design & test improvements
- Support failure analysis efforts for failures from reliability testing
- Analyze real world work cycles for the humanoid and design accelerated test plans that correlate to usage.
