Job Summary

The Senior Linux/Middleware Engineer will be responsible for environment management, including installation, configuration, deployment, and administration of enterprise applications across RHEL and middleware platforms. The role requires expertise in JBoss, WebLogic, MQ, and Kafka, with strong middleware administration skills and a deep understanding of Java EE architecture. The engineer will ensure high availability, performance tuning, and secure operations of mission-critical applications, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support enterprise service build engineering initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, deploy, and manage enterprise applications using JBoss Application Server, IBM WebSphere Application Server, and Apache Tomcat.
• Administer middleware environments, specifically JBoss EAP and Apache Tomcat.
• Perform JVM tuning, WAR/EAR deployments, and troubleshoot Java EE application issues.
• Manage and support RHEL/Unix/Linux systems, including shell scripting and networking tasks.
• Configure and maintain Oracle and MySQL databases for application integration.
• Implement and support messaging platforms such as MQ and Kafka.
• Ensure secure and optimized environments through load balancing, reverse proxies (Apache HTTPD, NGINX), and firewall rule management.
• Collaborate with developers, DBAs, and infrastructure teams to deliver stable and scalable environments.
• Document configurations, deployments, and operational procedures for audit and compliance.

Required Skills

• Installation, Configuration, Deployment and Management of Enterprise applications using JBOSS Application Server / IBM Web Sphere Application server / Apache tomcat.
• Strong expertise in RHEL/Unix/Linux administration.
• Hands-on experience with JBoss EAP, WebLogic, Apache Tomcat, and middleware administration.
• Proficiency in Oracle and MySQL database integration.
• Solid knowledge of Linux/Unix systems, shell scripting, and basic networking.
• Experience with MQ and Kafka messaging platforms.
• Deep understanding of Java EE architecture, JVM tuning, and WAR/EAR deployments.
• Familiarity with load balancing, reverse proxies (Apache HTTPD, NGINX), and firewall rules.
