Job Description:

Position Overview

This position is responsible for working closely with the management team at assigned location(s) to maximize quality and production efficiencies of plant operations while driving process improvement projects. The Plant Technical Services Manager troubleshoots and identifies process needs to maintain quality, reliability, production levels and ensures compliance with environmental, health and safety needs of team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough analysis of manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies.
  • Develop and implement strategies for process improvements, focusing on reducing waste and enhancing productivity.
  • Utilize statistical tools and methodologies to monitor and analyze process performance.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing site.
  • Identify, scope, and lead projects at assigned location that are designed to minimize total cost, improve safety, quality, and customer service.
  • Develop and maintain an appropriate level of knowledge of the applicable codes and regulations.
  • Coordinate and oversee quality assurance efforts for the site to deliver high-quality products that meet customer expectations and standards while overseeing the improvements for the site quality management system.

  • Provides technical guidance to employees, colleagues and/or customers

Minimum Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering highly preferred
  • 5-7 years’ relevant experience required
  • Lean Six Sigma or Yellow/Green/Black Belt a plus

Physical Requirements and Working Environment

  • Must be able to stand/sit for an extended period of time
  • Ability to work in plant and office environments
  • Working conditions could include: dust, fumes, moderate noise and uneven surfaces
