Reporting to the AI Change Enablement Lead, Asia, the AI Adoption Manager, Asia will help advance Manulife Asia’s ambition to become an AI-powered organization. This role supports the execution of Asia’s AI adoption agenda by turning strategy into actions, coordinating initiatives across teams, maintaining playbooks and templates, tracking progress and success signals, and helping markets convert regional priorities into measurable activation plans.
Working in close partnership with regional and market stakeholders, you will focus on program execution, coordination, rollout support, and reinforcing change efforts, ensuring that strategic vision is consistently put into practice throughout the region for 13,000-15,000 employees.
Position Responsibilities:
Program Governance and Operating Cadence
Support the Asia AI Adoption SteerCo and Working Committee by preparing agendas, tracking decisions, documenting actions, and following up with regional and market owners.
Maintain a clear view of adoption priorities, dependencies, risks, and escalations across AI, IT, People, Comms, and market teams.
Help coordinate regional and market cadences so adoption plans, owner commitments, and progress updates are visible and consistently managed.
Support preparation of executive-ready updates for AI adoption governance forums, including SteerCo, leadership updates, and market reviews.
AI Change Enablement
Coordinate enablement activities by preparing materials, coordinating tasks and event logistics, managing timelines and dependencies, and ensuring end-to-end follow through to build AI literacy, awareness, confidence, and sustained usage of Manulife internal AI tools and Microsoft AI products (e.g. Copilot Chat, M365 Copilot, Copilot Studio) across Asia.
Maintain and improve AI adoption playbooks, market planning templates, activation toolkits, communication packs, office-hour materials, and reusable assets.
Support readiness and change impact assessments with markets and functions to identify adoption barriers, capability gaps, and required interventions.
Foster a culture of learning and sharing by organizing events and actively engaging with AI Community of Practice.
Encourage collaboration, knowledge exchange, and best practice sharing among teams to accelerate AI adoption across the region.
AI Leadership:
Stay current on AI trends, competitor movements, emerging technologies, low-code/no-code advancements, and best practices in transformation.
Provide thought leadership by identifying emerging trends, sharing innovative approaches, and guiding leaders and teams on effective and responsible AI adoption.
Facilitate discovery, activation, ideation sessions in identifying practical ways to integrate AI into business processes.
Measurements and Insights Generation:
Collect and analyze participation, engagement, and execution metrics
Synthesize adoption themes and barriers, and recommend practical improvements and recommendations.
Prepare status updates and summaries for C-level senior executives to support decision making and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of experience and strong knowledge of organizational change management, change enablement, large-scale rollout support in a regional or cross-functional environment
Comfortable working with ambiguity and applying judgment to analyze situations, organize information, and move work forward (including escalating when needed).
Proven success in change management and ability to deliver accurate, timely outputs while working within established processes, guidelines, and policies in a fast moving environment.
Strong understanding of AI concepts, familiarity with AI productivity tools, and emerging technologies.
AI-first mindset with the ability to spot practical opportunities to apply AI in day-to-day workflows and translate them into simple guidance for end users.
Understanding of responsible AI and safe data handling practices, and willingness to model good habits.
Experience tracking adoption, engagement, training, or change metrics and converting data into practical insights.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience working across APAC or in cross-cultural environments
Strong communications and stakeholder management skills across leadership, business and technical teams.
Exposure to Microsoft AI tools (Copilot Chat, M365 Copilot, Copilot Studio) and data analytic tools (e.g. PowerBI)
