We are looking for a Benefits Consultant to join the team in Singapore. This role will be a part of the Global Talent Management – HR Benefits team in the Human Resources division.  This team is responsible for executing the administration and design of employee benefits with a consistent philosophy and governance model across 37 countries.

What are the ongoing responsibilities of this position?

  • Primary support of the administration and design of employee benefits, including retirement, leave and time off, in the regions of Asia Pacific (APAC), Middle East, and Africa

  • Partner with Franklin Templeton’s Global Benefits team to execute a consistent benefits philosophy across each country

  • Partner with third party benefits broker/consultant to manage the administration, design, and renewal of all insured benefits in the region, and gather market insight on emerging benefits trends in the region

  • Support the resolution of escalated employee benefits inquiries or claims

  • Partner with Franklin Templeton’s HR Consulting and Talent Acquisition teams in the region to monitor feedback on benefits and inform key business stakeholders about benefits initiatives and strategy

  • Partner with Franklin Templeton’s HR Communications team on the on-going communication and employee education related to our benefits in the region

  • Partner with Franklin Templeton’s Global Compensation Team to support Franklin Templeton’s Global Total Rewards Philosophy

  • Support and coordination of global and local well-being resources for employees in the region

  • Maintain consistent and accurate records of benefits processes, decisions and expenses to support Franklin Templeton’s global benefits governance model

  • Provide guidance and input from a regional perspective on global benefits and programs sponsored by Franklin Templeton

  • Support special projects as assigned, such as the integration of new employees resulting from corporate events (e.g. Acquisition) or supporting the implementation of new global benefits/programs

What qualifications, skills and experience would help someone to be successful?

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience

  • 3+ years of experience in benefits administration within the region. While experience in each specific country is not required, experience in the APAC region is highly preferred

  • Ability to prioritize and achieve quality results with efficiency

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • Ability to be consultative, adaptable to a range of audiences and stakeholders

  • Ability to multi-task and work independently

  • Ability to build working relationships with colleagues

  • Ability to identify gaps/issues and propose solutions

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications required
