Introduction

This position is for a characterization Engineer for a high performance Center of Excellence (CoE) group working on IO, Analog, Memory, and Standard cell IPs. The successful candidate will be working in a team with a problem solving and open culture. The work also entails cross-team and cross-geo collaboration to achieve organizational goals.

Introduction-

• Relevant working experience between 8 - 12 Years in preferably digital StdCell / IO / E-Fuse library characterization.
• Should fit in an industrial development environment where a combination of project driven, and innovation activities generate transferable results for our business.
• Should be flexible and team player. Lead the Char activity across all the IP Types.
•  Very analytical in nature and able to work in a multi-disciplinary environment.
• Creative, out-of-the-box thinker with a high level of personal involvement.
• Strong theoretical background with a pragmatic approach.
• Good communication skills and fluent in English.
• Scripting – Perl/Tcl/Python knowledge is a plus.
• Able to work in a multi-cultural environment.

Your Job      

• Lead and drive timing/char activity for Foundational IP, Memory, Analog RF and Automotive IP.
• Work with cross function teams, define and develop robust industry standard timing flow
• Characterization experience with different industry standard tools (Experience of generating NLDM, CCS, ECSM, LVF, AOCV views with validation). Development experience of Characterization Methodology flow is highly desirable.
• Should have worked on Standard cell / IO /E-Fuse libraries especially deep Submicron, FinFET and SOI technologies.
• Exposure to chip-level scenarios is a plus.
• Take ownership for the improvement/development of industry standard flow for Characterization of StdCell / IO / E-Fuse libraries.
• Implement innovative solutions in the StdCell domain which are inline with Global Foundrie’s business needs.
• Experience with characterizing Analog blocks is highly desired
• Works towards the innovation/ideas.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience in IP characterization
• Should be flexible and a team player
• Fluency in English Language – written & verbal
• Creative, out-of-the-box thinker with a high level of personal involvement
• Able to work in a multi-cultural environment
• Knowledge of basic CMOS circuits

Preferred Qualifications:    

• Flow development
• Good circuit debugging skill
• Skill, Perl, Tcl, Python Programming is a certain plus
