This position is based in the field and requires a home office with the ability to travel through the state of Michigan. Weekends requirements as needed.
Professionally and effectively market, consult, and educate the advantages of Priority Medicare benefit plans to prospective members, employers, consultants, and agents to achieve personal and corporate membership goals and objectives. All efforts will be done in accordance with Priority Health policies and procedures and CMS guidelines. Substantial knowledge of both individual and employer group products and competition is required. Will be a trainer for agents and new External Sales Representatives

Develop business for Individual Priority Medicare Products.
Generate new membership through direct sales efforts that include lunch and earn meetings, individual meetings, and presentation at community sponsored events.
Have up-to-date working knowledge of CMS guidelines and commitment to work within prescribed guidelines.
Adequately prepare for and professionally deliver educational presentations.
Facilitate the assistance of other internal departments such as enrollment, customer service, and others to service existing members in a customer service focused manner.
Develop ongoing understanding of competitive marketplace.
Recruit, train, certify and develop sales with independent insurance agents and Field Marketing Organizations
Develop a sales plan for assigned territory.
Complete business development projects as assigned by leadership.
Assist in training of the new sales representatives.
Develop Business for the Employer Group.
Work in collaboration with Priority Health commercial account team members to generate membership. Identify employer’s needs and prepare a professional proposal; present proposal when required.
Maintain on-going consultative relationships with current Priority Health commercial account team members to promote the sale and re-sale of Priority Medicare.
Produce professional, creative, persuasive, and educational written communications to increase participation and membership such as prospect letters, open-enrollment letters, and benefits comparisons.
Complete administrative functions
Screen enrollment forms for compliance with CMS requirements.
Complete employer group paperwork according to established timelines.
Complete routine reports as requested by Manager, Medicare Sales on a weekly, monthly and annual basis.
Attend and contribute to assigned meetings. Be an active participant by adding, when appropriate, credible research, knowledge and experience.
Employ time management skills to effectively manage all job responsibilities.
Delegate appropriately to support personnel or other departments as needed.
As requested, develop new markets for sales of Priority Medicare products.
Coordinate, attend member, agent activities and events such as dinners and golf outings. designed to bring Priority Medicare personnel in contact with perspective members, employers, agents and business related associates.
Represent Priority Medicare at public events to increase exposure to potential members, members, employer, agents, business-related associates and the public.
Complete annual reports for manager and/or other departments such a self-performance appraisal, sales reports, and other reports.
Required
Bachelor's Degree or a minimum of 5 years of successful sales experience
2 years of successful field sales experience
Must be able to travel throughout the state of Michigan with reliable transportation
LIC Michigan Health & Life Insurance License, STATE MI State of Michigan.
Preferred
Medicare of experience with other government programs or managed care experience
