Position Purpose:
Oversees the operation of initiatives and programs focused on improvement in pharmacy quality measures (Part D Patient Safety Measures, HEDIS, PQA, etc.) accomplished through collaboration between local health plan and corporate teams. Provides oversight of operations by working closely with manager(s), strategist(s), trainer(s), coordinator(s) to ensure operational excellence in assigned responsibilities. Provides leadership and subject matter expertise across departments to advance the mission of improving pharmacy quality measure performance.

  • Provides strategic leadership through collaborating between health plan and corporate teams; ensuring synergies between respective initiatives
  • Ownership of operational (e.g. Provider/Pharmacy engagement) and quality outcomes (Part D Patient Safety Measures, HEDIS, PQA, etc.) resulting from deployed quality initiatives
  • Represent and serve as the main contact to leadership of assigned health plan(s) and region(s)
  • Manage executive-level (e.g. regional president) relationships across teams, including: proactive solutioning, collaboration, decision making, aligning strategies, etc.
  • Executive-level communications around strategies, KPIs, and updates to key leadership across teams
  • Works closely with senior management to define and implement solutions that can meet current and anticipate future needs.
  • Develops, plans and implements initiatives through collaboration with cross functional teams. Functions as a project manager in execution of launch plan and implementation of systems and procedures.
  • Work with stakeholder partners in market adoption of new concepts and changes
  • Conducts market research and proposes business growth/improvement initiatives through strategic planning.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.

Education/Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy required
PhD in PharmD preferred
Master's Degree in Business preferred

  • 7+ years of experience in a licensed pharmacist role, OR completion of PGY-1 residency program + 5 additional years licensed pharmacist upon completion required
  • 4+ years of experience in Managed Care/Pharmacy Star Ratings/Quality Metrics required
  • 3+ years of managing/leading others required


Licenses/Certifications:
RPH - Registered Pharmacist required
