                                    Food Service Business Development Manager - CariCam

About the Role!

We have an excellent opportunity available for an experienced Food Service Sales manager to make a difference at Upfield in the strategically important region of CariCam. In the region we have strong presence and we are looking to further expand our Foodservice / B2B business. 

The role encompasses managing the distributor relationship and sales team effectively to deliver the sales targets set.  This role will report directly to the General Manager – CariCam.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Full P&L Responsibility.
  • Management of all Food Service channels including Horeca, Wholesale and Ecommerce utilizing the Distributor sales team.
  • Launch of New products Upfield into the Food Service channel.
  • Focusing on both Key Accounts and individual operators,
  • Create JBPs with distributors on annual basis + active monitoring
  • Own the sales plan using multiple tools such as promotions, incentives, basket efficiency and NPD.
  • Review performance weekly and ensure accurate and timely forecasting of Distributor sales within the standard operating process.
  • Present monthly the performance along with opportunities and risks during business reviews with senior management.        
  • Open new customers in all channels with new business development agreements and long-term growth objectives
  • Visit at least 20 customers weekly providing call reports to the sales director on a weekly basis
  • Set the schedule for the Chefs to visit customers for product demonstrations
  • Ensure smooth clearance of goods into the Country by working closely with the supply teams of Upfield and of the Customer
  • Manage trade spends within budget and adopt best financial practices.

Hard Skills

  • 5+ years’ experience in Sales, Category, Marketing and/or related function within a matrixed company, focusing in foodservice channels (Hotels, Restaurants, etc).
  • Experience executing sales product strategy and/or sales plans.
  • Experience managing and leading joint business plans with commercial customers.
  • Experience building forecasts with multiple P&L factor considerations. 
  • Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and PowerBI skills.
