Role Overview
We are seeking driven, intellectually curious individuals to join our Credit team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced investment environment focused on structured credit, bank capital solutions, and quantitative portfolio analysis.
As an intern, you will be immersed in the day-to-day activities of the credit investment team, learning how credit data, deal structures, and risk analytics inform portfolio decisions. You will collaborate with team members on analytical projects, investment tools, and research initiatives that directly support portfolio management. This role is ideal for individuals with strong analytical and programming skills and a deep interest in credit markets.
Responsibilities
Assist in collecting, cleaning, and managing large financial datasets for analysis.
Work with large datasets from various credit instruments (bonds, CDS, etc.) to identify trends, correlations, and patterns. Develop visualizations to communicate insights to the trading team.
Leverage your technical expertise to solve applied problems.
Assist in developing quantitative models for pricing and/or forecasting using statistical and mathematical methods.
Help improve processes by identifying opportunities to increase efficiencies, optimize runtime, and mitigate risk.
Qualifications & Skills
Currently pursuing a Master’s in Data Science, Machine Learning, Computational Finance, Computer Science, Statistics or a related field.
Proficiency in Python, R, or similar programming languages for data manipulation, modeling, and analysis.
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Matplotlib, Seaborn).
Familiarity with databases and SQL for querying and analyzing large datasets.
Knowledge of machine learning techniques (e.g., regression, classification, time series forecasting) is a plus. Knowledge of large language models (LLMs) a plus.
Ability to work with large datasets, performing statistical analyses.
Basic understanding of credit markets (bonds, credit default swaps, etc.) and macroeconomic factors influencing credit pricing.
Interest in applying technology and/or quantitative skills to solve complex trading problems.
Strong communication skills, decision making skills and desire to work in a team-oriented environment.
