The Senior Database Developer - FI Trade Processing is a position in which we are looking for a talented and passionate individual to join our development team and continue to evolve our next-generation trading application. They would lead the efforts to transition our application to smaller services, full automated CI/CD pipelines enabling faster time to market. The successful candidate will gain valuable exposure to the Fixed Income Trading business and an opportunity to work on a large scale, modern technology platform with a global presence.

Responsibilities:

• Manage an Applications Development team of professionals to accomplish established goals and conduct personnel duties for team (e.g. performance evaluations, training and development, hiring and disciplinary actions)
• Recommend new work procedures to increase process efficiencies
• Resolve issues by identifying and selecting solutions through the applications of acquired technical experience and guided by precedents
• Develop and apply comprehensive knowledge of how own area integrates within apps development and other technical areas
• Ensure the quality of tasks provided by self and others on team as well as influence decisions through advice or facilitating services that impact the team and closely related work teams
• Act as backup to Applications Development Manager and serve as an advisor and coach to junior developers and analysts
• Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
• Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
• Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
• Ability to manage teams. 
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience with good knowledge on the T-SQL/PL-SQL
• Ability to debug the issues and identify the solution
• Candidate should be able to handle optimization on the procedure /Partition/Archival process to handle large amount of data
• Grasp business knowledge quickly and provide quality solution with automated unit testing
• Better to support/have knowledge on RDBMS code migration(Sybase to Oracle)
• Interest to take new initiative on the engineering to improve the quality & reliability of the application
• Good Knowledge on the CI/CD pipeline
• Good to have basic database administrative knowledge on Oracle RDBMS
• Good to have financial projects work experience 

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
