Job Description:
This job is responsible for performing analytical requests, reporting and analysis, and assisting with modeling activities to help manage risk and minimize credit and operating losses. Key responsibilities include overseeing portfolio trends, developing data sets or queries to extract data, and supporting the production of internal and external reporting needs. Job expectations include effectively driving information and insights which have significantly impact regulatory, financial accountability, and directly impact to business policies and goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and executes reporting to allow risk and business partners to effectively identify and manage risk in an effective manner

  • Identifies trends and manages the data design, portfolio trends, loss trends, and portfolio dynamics to ensure alignment with business strategies

  • Participates in various product strategic initiatives affecting multiple risk functions and lines of business to ensure company goals are met

  • Facilitates the development of database production processes and performance reports for senior management, using data mining and other advanced analytical techniques to aggregate data

  • Responds to complex ad-hoc requests for information from both internal and external parties

  • Coordinates cross-functional efforts to remediate data quality issues

  • Manages the outputs of controls and investigates alerts from the control checks

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance operational reporting, dashboards, and analytics that support Financial Crimes Investigations forecasting, capacity planning, workforce planning, and performance management activities.

  • Perform data analysis to identify operational trends, volume drivers, productivity impacts, staffing risks, and other factors influencing forecast and capacity planning outcomes.

  • Support forecasting and workforce planning activities by validating inputs, executing scenario analyses, interpreting results, and preparing materials used in management decision-making.

  • Build management reports, presentations, and ad hoc analyses for business partners, forecasting teams, and senior leadership.

  • Partner with business, operations, forecasting, technology, and risk stakeholders to translate business requirements into reporting and analytical solutions.

  • Create executive-level dashboards and visualizations using Tableau and develop automated analytical workflows using Alteryx to improve reporting efficiency and business insights.

  • Perform statistical analysis to evaluate trends, relationships, forecast performance, operational drivers, and other key business metrics.

  • Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and consistency of reporting through data validation, reconciliation, quality control reviews, and adherence to established governance processes.

  • Support change management and documentation for reporting assets, analytical processes, forecasting methodologies, and reporting controls.

  • Identify and implement process improvements that enhance reporting efficiency, strengthen analytical capabilities, and improve forecasting and capacity planning effectiveness.

  • Prepare, distribute, and consolidate recurring weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting packages supporting operational performance and workforce planning activities.

  • Communicate analytical findings, risks, opportunities, and recommendations to stakeholders and senior management through presentations and executive-ready reporting.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Economics, Finance, Business Analytics, Operations Research, or a related quantitative field – OR – equivalent experience.

  • Experience: Minimum of five years business and functional experience.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience within Financial Crimes, AML, Compliance, Risk Management, or Banking Operations.

  • Knowledge of forecasting, workforce planning, capacity planning, and operational performance management methodologies.

  • Experience with Financial Crimes data environments and reporting repositories, including FIUDM or comparable platforms.

  • Experience utilizing Python (Preferred) for reporting automation, analytical processes, forecasting support, or scenario analysis.

  • Experience with Power BI, SAS, R, or other analytics and visualization tools.

  • Familiarity with Bitbucket, Git, Jira, or similar change management and version control tools.

  • Understanding of data governance, reporting controls, reconciliation processes, and data quality management practices.

  • Experience documenting business requirements, reporting methodologies, and analytical procedures.

  • The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical and statistical capabilities, advanced experience with Alteryx and Tableau, and the ability to leverage data to support forecasting, capacity planning, and operational decision-making across the Global Financial Crimes organization.

Technical Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Alteryx for data preparation, workflow automation, transformation, reconciliation, and reporting process optimization.

  • Advanced proficiency in Tableau for dashboard development, data visualization, executive reporting, and performance management reporting.

  • Strong SQL skills with experience querying and analyzing large datasets within Teradata, SQL Server, or similar enterprise data environments.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis, pivot tables, formulas, and scenario analysis.

  • Strong knowledge of statistical methods and analytical techniques, including trend analysis, variance analysis, forecasting concepts, regression analysis, correlation analysis, sampling methodologies, and performance measurement.

  • Ability to analyze large datasets and translate complex findings into actionable business insights and recommendations.

  • Experience supporting reporting, forecasting, workforce planning, capacity planning, or operational analytics functions.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
