SUMMARY

The Human Resources (HR) Coordinator is responsible for supporting HR functions which include employee file maintenance, renewable requirements, employee support, new hire onboarding, and other administrative tasks. The HR Coordinator complies with all local, state, federal and company rules and regulations.   

QUALIFICATIONS & ATTRIBUTES:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent is required; Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or business-related field is preferred

  • One year of administrative experience is required

  • HR and HR System experience is preferred

  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and ability to learn new software systems/databases

  • Prior experience with Workday HRIS a plus

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness

  • Results oriented with ability to effectively manage projects and tight deadlines

  • Handle, protect, and use sensitive and confidential data with care and discretion

  • Collaborative work style and ability to work effectively across departments

  • Ability to create positive impressions and communicate with a high level of customer service

MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Communicates with new hires to ensures all tasks are completed during the onboarding process

  • Completes background checks, reference checks, employment verifications, and educational verifications to maintain compliance with CMS, federal & state guidelines

  • Coordinates/schedules pre-employment requirements for candidates

  • Responds to HR Service Desk tickets and calls, ensuring requests are answered efficiently and effectively; escalates requests as needed

  • Utilizes multiple systems to maintain employee data including but not limited to Workday, HCHB, HealthStream, Service Now, and Revver

  • Audits files monthly for compliance

  • Maintains confidentiality with all employee information

  • Other duties as assigned
