As a Sr. Principal Applications Engineering (AE), you will work side-by-side with our leading-edge customers. With your expertise, you'll help them deploy Cadence's market-leading technologies in Physical/Signoff Verification to meet/exceed their Signoff targets, achieve faster design closure, and turn their design concepts into reality.
Role involves:
Responsibilities will include:
• Conduct root cause analysis and provide resolution to customer technical issues
• Run customer test cases to verify problems, create work-arounds, when possible, test and deliver R&D fixes.
• Developing an understanding of the customer's needs and of the competition's technology and sales strategies to create solutions that best meet our customer needs.
• Working with Sales Management to identify sales opportunities, prioritize activities and help develop winning sales strategies.
• Conducting in person customer solution driven whiteboarding sessions, technical presentations, technical training, and product demonstrations to customers, including development of customized presentations as required.
• Supporting technical evaluations/benchmarks and drive the process to deliver Cadence solutions.
• Communicating customer requirements and feedback to Cadence Engineering groups and Marketing for issue resolution and to improved product features and quality.
Requirements.
• 15+ years industry experience in Pegasus/Calibre/ICV DRC, LVS, FILL & PERC required.
• Ability to provide hands-on technical support to customer using Pegasus/PVS for Physical Signoff.
• Direct experience in PVS/Pegasus/Calibre/ICV rule writing is a plus.
• In-depth understanding of Semiconductor Manufacturing process is a plus.
• Familiar with Cadence Implementation tools( Innvous, Virtuoso, Allegro/APD ) or similar industry tools.
• Intermediate / advanced programming skills like python, tcl or perl is a plus.
• 10+ years' experience in Linux/Unix environments required.
• Self-motivated and enthusiastically focused on problem solving
• Strong technical and written communication skills.
• This position will require travel to customer and other Cadence sites as needed.
