POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical professional to join our team as a Regional Optimization Analyst. This pivotal role will drive critical financial insights, performance metrics, and innovative digital solutions within our Renewable Diesel Fuel Vale Chain (RD FVC) organization. The ideal candidate combines financial acumen, technical expertise, and a passion for process improvement to meaningfully contribute to our externally reported segment’s financial performance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages data quality, ownership, metrics, governance and data consistency for demand, pricing, crude, inventory, premise data and backcasting data. 
  • Takes ownership of the process of collecting, uploading, and managing all data pertaining to actual performance, ensuring accuracy and completeness. 
  • Facilitates and improve the data gathering and management process for planning activities, supporting the development of accurate and reliable forecasts. 
  • Collaborates with Business Planning & Analysis (BP&A) teams to develop, analyze, interpret, and effectively communicate financial data and forecasts specific to the Renewable Diesel segment.
  • Leads the process of reconciling data output from the regional optimization model with actuals, identifying and addressing any discrepancies.
  • Drives the development of comprehensive actual packages to effectively present actuals in a regional optimization view, facilitating better decision-making processes.
  • Owns the development of material and content for key meetings, including financial reviews with Executive Leadership Team (ELT) or Refining Leadership Team (RLT).
  • Mentors the other analysts to ensure consistency in how the work is performed and they are meeting the customers’ needs.
  • Leads projects focused on automation, digitalization, and integration of advanced analytics platforms to streamline business processes.

Travel: 5-10%

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Business, Finance, Economics or Engineering) or five (5) years of experience in data analytics or related experience in lieu.
  • Five (5) years industry-related experience required.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Proven experience in financial analysis, forecasting, and business performance tracking.
  • Proficiency in digital and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the demonstrated ability to clearly articulate complex analyses and insights to diverse stakeholders.
