Ticketmaster’s Pricing & Distribution team is an industry leading product and service provider focused on unlocking the ability for our clients to sell their products to the right customers at the right time and channel in ways that maximize yield via data driven revenue and demand optimization.

THE JOB

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Pricing Data Analyst to join our team and assist in researching and exploring trends with client data. You will be working on some of the most interesting and challenging problems in the sports, arts, family, and concert areas our clients face and you will have the opportunity to take our data-driven insights, convert them to actionable recommendations and communicate those recommendations directly to our clients.

You will work closely with our Pricing Product Consulting Team and our Managed Pricing Service Team to help create new and innovative analytic solutions and find opportunities for outcome optimization.  In addition, you will be working with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Collaborate with the data analytics team to gather, process, and analyze data from multiple sources.
  • Use business intelligence tools to create visualizations, dashboards, and reports that communicate insights from the data.
  • Develop a deep understanding of client data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Present findings and actionable recommendations to clients and stakeholders through reports and presentations.
  • Query, transform, and integrate data from diverse sources, ensuring data integrity through cleansing and normalization.
  • Build predictive sales models to forecast inventory sell-through and optimize pricing and distribution strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external clients to define project scope, develop hypotheses, execute analyses, and present results.
  • Create and maintain dashboards to track historical sales, market trends, and secondary market performance, adjusting ticket pricing accordingly.
  • Enable and enhance pricing decisions by providing expert-level analysis and contributions to pricing strategies.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to develop new reports and dashboards, improving forecasting, scaling, and dynamic pricing processes.
  • As business needs evolve, additional responsibilities and projects may be assigned.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (or TECHNICAL SKILLS)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Math, Computer Science, Information Technology, Economics, or related fields.
  • Experience in revenue management and pricing optimization, particularly within the live entertainment and ticketing industry.
  • Experience using statistical and computer languages (R, Python, SQL, etc.).
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Domo, Quicksight, etc.).
  • Extensive experience with PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Resourceful problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accuracy from a data entry perspective.
  • Familiarity with using MS Office tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and decipher data and communicate findings to management and external stakeholders in a way that is easy to understand.
