Summary: We are currently looking for a Firmware Test Engineer to join our Applied Sensing technology team. The team is responsible for developing sensors for Original Equipment and aftermarket and solutions in the framework of the client. Roles & Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and execute automated and manual test plans for embedded firmware used in tire mounted sensors - Collaborate with firmware and algorithm developers to understand feature implementations and define appropriate test strategies. - Develop and maintain test frameworks and tools for continuous integration and regression testing. - Perform functional, integration, system, and performance testing of embedded firmware. - Analyze test results, identify root causes of failures, and work with developers to resolve issues. - Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and product requirements. - Contribute to the development of test documentation, including test cases, test reports, and traceability matrices. - Support hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and sensor simulation environments for testing. - Participate in code reviews and provide feedback from a testability perspective. Professional & Technical Skills: - Proven experience in testing embedded systems or firmware, preferably in sensor applications. - Strong understanding of embedded systems architecture, microcontrollers, and communication protocols (e.g., I2C, SPI, UART, CAN). - Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and familiarity with test automation tools. - Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. - Strong communication and documentation abilities. - 5+ years of professional experience in hardware and software validation. - Preferred experience in automotive industry. - Experience with tire pressure monitoring systems is a plus. Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Automotive ECU Software. - This position is based at our Hyderabad office. - A 15 years full time education is required. - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field. -
