Specialist Collector for North America Direct Costumers
Description
Applies Specialized level of subject matter knowledge to manage complex customer accounts. Works on problems of moderately complex scope. Acts as an informed team member providing analysis of information and limited project to impact open receivables. Exercises independent judgment within defined practices and procedures to determine appropriate action. Follows established guidelines and interprets policies approved by organization. Evaluates unique circumstances and makes recommendations.

Responsibilities:
- Analyzes and researches customer receivables account delinquency and determine the type of communication method to facilitate payment.
- Resolves disputes related to customer payment on delinquent accounts and negotiates and ensures payment from the customer.
- Recognizes trends for non-payment and resolve issues by engaging internal partners.
- Utilizes strategic approach in collections activity, influencing customer payment behavior through developing key customer and partner relationships, resourcing effectively, and driving solutions.
- Reduces the time spent on the account through increased portfolio effectiveness.
- Minimizes Write Offs and Bad Debts through early identification of risk receivables.
- Provides strong evidence of leadership capabilities through performing by example.
Education & Experience Recommended
• Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
• Typically has 2-3 years of work experience, preferably in collection, credit, banking, or a related field or an advanced degree with 3-4 years of work experience.
