Role Summary
We are seeking a Senior Quality Analyst – SDET with approximately 8 years of QA experience, including at least 4+ years of strong hands-on automation experience in Selenium and REST API automation. The ideal candidate will design and maintain scalable automation frameworks for both UI and API layers, integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines, and drive quality engineering best practices in Agile environments.
Key Responsibilities
1. UI Automation (Selenium Focus)
•    Develop and maintain automation scripts using Selenium WebDriver.
•    Design frameworks using Java + Selenium + TestNG/JUnit with Page Object Model (POM).
•    Implement reusable utilities and robust locator strategies.
•    Ensure cross-browser testing (Chrome, Edge, Firefox).
•    Improve automation stability and reduce flaky tests.
•    Support parallel execution using Selenium Grid or cloud-based platforms.
2. REST API Automation
•    Design and implement API automation using REST Assured (Java) or equivalent frameworks.
•    Validate request/response payloads, status codes, schema validation, and business rule validation.
•    Automate integration flows between services.
3. Database & Backend Validation
•    Perform SQL-based data validation.
•    Validate data consistency between UI, API, and database layers.
•    Test backend business logic and data transformations.
4. Framework Design & Governance
•    Build scalable hybrid automation frameworks (UI + API).
•    Implement structured reporting (Allure / ExtentReports).
•    Maintain test data management strategies.
•    Establish coding standards and conduct automation code reviews.
•    Continuously improve coverage and execution efficiency.
5. CI/CD & DevOps Integration
•    Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins / GitHub Actions / Azure DevOps).
•    Enable automated execution on pull requests and nightly builds.
•    Configure test result publishing and quality gates.
•    Support containerized execution (Docker preferred).
6. Functional & Agile Participation
•    Review user stories and acceptance criteria.
•    Create detailed test scenarios and test cases.
•    Participate in sprint planning, grooming, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
•    Maintain requirement-to-test traceability.
•    Collaborate closely with Developers and Business Analysts.
7. Defect Management & Quality Metrics
•    Log and manage defects in JIRA.
•    Provide detailed reproduction steps, logs, and evidence.
•    Participate in root cause analysis discussions.
•    Track quality metrics including automation coverage, defect leakage, and regression health.
Required Skills
Automation & Programming
•    4+ years strong hands-on experience in Selenium WebDriver (UI automation).
•    4+ years REST API automation (REST Assured preferred).
•    Strong programming skills in Java (preferred) or Python.
•    Strong understanding of OOP concepts.
•    Experience building frameworks from scratch.
Technical & Tools
•    TestNG / JUnit experience.
•    Maven / Gradle build tools.
•    Git version control.
•    SQL for database validation.
•    CI/CD integration experience.
•    Experience with JIRA and Confluence.
•    Agile/Scrum experience.
Experience Requirements
•    Total Experience: ~8 years in QA / Testing.
•    Minimum 4+ years in automation (UI + API).
•    Experience in enterprise or product-based environments preferred.
•    Experience working in Agile teams.
•     Must be willing and able to work in 2nd shifts (3:00 PM IST to 12:00 AM IST) and occasional weekends as required.
•    Must be willing to work from Bangalore office location minimum 3 days in a week.
