The Opportunity:

CACI is looking for a Network Architect (Firewall & Switching Specialist) to support the Department of the Air Force (DAF) Enterprise IT as a Service (EITaaS) program.  The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing our organization's network infrastructure to ensure maximum performance, security, and scalability across classified and unclassified networks. The candidate will act as the Firewall and Network subject matter expert for all networking configurations to deliver enhanced capabilities and services to the enterprise DAF solutions. 

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement complex network solutions, focusing on firewall architectures and switch configurations that adhere to STIG guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain firewall rule sets and switch configurations, ensuring STIG compliance.
  • Implement and manage STIG-compliant configurations across all firewalls and network switches.
  • Conduct regular security audits of firewall rules and switch configurations, remediating any issues.
  • Evaluate and recommend firewall and switching hardware/software solutions that meet requirements.
  • Troubleshoot complex firewall and switching issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align network architecture with business objectives both internal and external.
  • Stay current with STIG updates, emerging firewall and switching technologies, and industry trends. 

Qualifications:

Required: 

  • Must have Active Secret Clearance.
  • DoD 8140 compliance; CCNP, F5 and Palo Alto certifications strongly preferred.
  • 12+ Years of relevant experience (bachelor’s degree in relevant field may be substituted for 5 years of relevant experience).

Desired: 

  • Familiarity with Air Force policies and environments, working knowledge of Cisco switching and routing, Visio, F5, VMWare, Microsoft, Citrix, Cisco VOIP, Cisco ISE, Splunk, Palo Alto security appliances, firewalls, IDS/IPS.
  • Familiarity with Air Force LAN and WAN routing configurations and network terminology.

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$94,400 - $198,300
