Key Responsibilities

• Lead Institutional Business Development: Drive, develop, and execute a comprehensive business development and relationship management strategy to build the institutional business in Korea.

• Client Knowledge: Maintain a detailed understanding of key business and strategic issues facing target clients.

• Client Acquisition and Service: Acquire and provide ongoing service to new and existing clients and mandates. Take full ownership of client relationships, ensuring all operational, compliance, and legal requirements are met, and business is conducted in line with best practices.

• Product Marketing: Market the full range of PIMCO’s products and services to the assigned investor base, with the assistance of senior investment professionals where appropriate. Develop and implement a plan to identify prospects and raise assets across all PIMCO’s products.

Ideal Experience

• Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in growing the institutional business in Korea, with key clients including official institutions, commercial banks, insurance companies, Asset managers, pensions, and mutual aids.

• Leadership and Influence: Possess the stature, gravitas, and seniority to operate at the highest level both internally and externally.

• Sales and Relationship Management: Exceptional sales closing, relationship management, and negotiation skills. Capable of driving own agenda.

• Team Player: Collegiate team player, experienced and comfortable working in an international operating environment.

• Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the investment management industry, particularly in meeting client demands at a sophisticated level.

• Market Expertise: Significant understanding of economics, capital markets, and investment concepts, with 6-10 years of experience within the asset management industry. Experience in fixed income, alternatives, private credit, and real estate is strongly preferred.

• Client Engagement: Experienced in business development and client servicing, with a focus on regular client meetings and representing the firm at key events.

• Language Skills: Native Korean and fluent English.
