Are you ready to elevate patient outcomes across Trivandrum by turning strategy into measurable growth? How will you build positive relationships across healthcare facilities and medical centers to accelerate access to new therapies for people who need them most?

In this role, you will lead territory performance while translating scientific innovation into real-world impact. You will work across the patient journey—from prevention and diagnosis through treatment—so that a larger patient population experiences positive results sooner. By combining sharp market intelligence with disciplined execution, you will help bring new medicines to the right settings, strengthen institutional access, and create momentum that lasts.

Accountabilities:

  • Sales Strategy Execution: Implement territory sales strategy and Plan of Action in line with company policies, ensuring precision in targeting and follow-through that drives adoption.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track territory sales results regularly, diagnose gaps, and act fast to keep performance on plan and ahead of objectives.
  • Access and Enlistment: Secure hospital and clinic enlistment for newly launched and priority brands, creating reliable access points and building long-term institutional relationships.
  • Market Intelligence: Analyze local market dynamics and competitors to identify opportunities, inform tactics, and shape territory plans that outpace the field.
  • Promotion and Awareness: Deliver and participate in promotional programs that increase product awareness and credibility with healthcare professionals.
  • Customer Data Stewardship: Maintain accurate customer classification, CRM database, and call records to enable targeted engagement and measurable outcomes.
  • Ethical Customer Engagement: Build trust and credibility with customers through professional conduct aligned to the AstraZeneca Code of Conduct.
  • Continuous Development: Identify personal growth needs and work with your First Line Sales Manager to build capabilities that elevate territory performance over time.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Effectively implement sales strategy and tactics, plan of action (POA) in accordance with company policies.
  • Regularly monitor territory’s sales performance to initiate appropriate actions to ensure performance is in line with objectives.
  • Facilitate enlistment of newly launched and key products in hospitals and clinics.
  • Conduct analysis of market/competitors to identify territory business opportunities.
  • Participate in promotional activity programs to increase product awareness in the market.
  • Update territory customer classification, database and call records continuously.
  • Build trust and credibility with customers by demonstrating professionalism acting within the AZ Code of Conduct.
  • Identify areas for self-development and discuss developmental needs with FLSM.

Desirable Skills/Experience:

  • Experience in pharmaceutical field sales within Kerala, with established relationships across Trivandrum hospitals and clinics.
  • Proven success driving institutional listings and accelerating uptake during launches.
  • Strong data literacy and CRM proficiency to translate insights into targeted actions.
  • Skill in cross-functional collaboration with medical, market access, and marketing teams.
  • Comfort with digital engagement tools and remote detailing to complement in-person visits.
  • Resilience and pace in fast-changing market environments, with a proactive, growth mindset.
