Job Title: Senior Manager, DEG Industrial Engineering

Location: Taichung City, Taiwan

As a Senior Manager in the DRAM Engineering Group (DEG) Industrial Engineering (IE) team, you will lead a team of brilliant Engineers, cross-functional Planners, and Program Managers to solve complex problems. Your key responsibilities include projecting Operating Expenditures (OpEx), cost strategy, early product life-cycle demand modeling, and leading Development Chip and Sustaining Products; Product Development Team (PDT). As the PDT Lead, you will be responsible for achieving the program targets captured in the project release document (schedule, quality, costs, manufacturing readiness, and budget). Additional responsibilities include collaboration with cross-functional teams in support of product development demand, enabling new product flows and manufacturing exceptions, and assisting with data attribute analysis.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:  

• Communicate Sustaining Products summaries to Sr. leadership and cross functional product teams driving towards Boundaries Conditions and escalations as needed

• Provide guidance through debug and resolution of essential issues that arise 

• Forecast long-term engineering demand and ensure demand records are as specific as necessary to meet requirements, including special flow requirements and exceptions 

• Support definition of optimal logistical flows for ever-evolving Eng solutions. Includes new product flow definition, attribute creation and maintenance  

• Provide experimental support for Product Engineering development (reflows, fuse sort)  

• Manage product engineering inventory and product line cleanup to meet or exceed company targets

• Manage Development Chip and Sustaining Products; Product Development Team (PDT). PDT Lead will be responsible for achieving the program targets captured in the project release document (schedule, quality, costs, manufacturing readiness and budget) 

• Lead discussions with stakeholders across the Technology & Products Group (TPG), Global Supply Chain (GSC), and Business Units to capture and model DEG product development requirements 

• Work with Product Development, Marketing, and Manufacturing teams to balance against cost, timeline, and manufacturability  

• Design and/or enhance models as needed in order to enable accurate and effective data representative of DEG product development requirements through a metric driven approach

• Analyze data, make data driven decisions and recommendations to customer groups 

• Provide technical planning and management training and expertise  

• Set performance management guidelines for your engineers and leads 

• Routinely provide guidance on career development in your team  

• Conduct regular performance appraisals of your team 
• Drive Engagement actions and improved team engagement measured by Micron’s Voice system

Qualifications:  

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering (or IE-equivalent degrees) or other fields of Engineering; MBA preferred  

• Experience: At least 8 years of relevant IE or IE-equivalent and leadership experience in the field of semiconductors or memory products preferred
• Leadership: Experience in leading multi-functional teams and mentoring team members.
