Position: Senior Software Engineer
Job Location: 640 W. California Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94086
Duties: Responsible for developing Walmart's Vision Android app, which is part of Wal-Mart’s Android application. Develop applications using Kotlin, coroutines, and GraphQL. Work closely with the design and service team. Review pull requests of teammates to make sure all software features developed are robust and crash free. Assist junior engineers with software problem resolution and development issues. Collaborate on feature enhancement, implementation, fixing bugs, and design solution. Design and implement server API layer in applications. Collaborate with cross platform teams and network teams for network layer solutions.
Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 1 year of experience in software engineering or related area; OR Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 3 years of experience in software engineering or related area.
Skills required: Experience integrating third party frameworks for consuming backend REST API services. Experience designing and implementing GraphQL API client. Experience implementing feature flags using CCM. Experience designing and developing mobile applications using Kotlin. Experience using Kotlin coroutines for asynchronous programming. Experience integrating third party frameworks including Crashlytics and Firebase SDK. Experience working with Continuous Integration using Jenkins and Looper. Experience implementing android MVVM design patterns. Experience implementing multi-module architecture solutions with Clean Architecture approach. Experience using JIRA and Confluence for project management and documentation. Experience using Figma for mobile UI/UX design. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.
Salary Range: $117,000/year to $234,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
