This position serves as the overnight pharmacist embedded in the Emergency Department (7 on / 7 off), providing direct support to physicians and nurses during high-acuity situations including codes, traumas, and strokes, and ensuring safe, timely, and effective medication use throughout the ED.
ACLS is preferred within 365 days of hire .

Job Description:

Staff pharmacists process/verify orders for medications, monitor patient medication therapies and provide drug information. Staff pharmacists supervise and direct support personnel. In the absence of the pharmacy manager, a staff pharmacist may be required to assume the essential responsibilities and perform the duties of the pharmacy manager

Education:
▪ Required: Bachelors in Pharmacy - Graduate of an ACPE accredited school of Pharmacy
▪ Preferred: Doctorate of Pharmacy - Completion of ASHP accredited PGY1 residency
Experience:
▪ Required: No Prior Experience Required
▪ Preferred: 2 years healthcare setting or equivalent residency training

Licensure/Certification/Registration:
▪ Required: Registered with Missouri Board of Pharmacy as Pharmacist or registry eligible and obtain within 90 days of hire
▪ Eligibility for licensure requires submission of application for Pharmacy License at time of hire**
