BeOne Medicines Turkey is seeking a Medical Director to lead the Oncology & Hematology Medical function and elevate scientific leadership across the country. This role is accountable for defining and executing the national medical strategy, driving launch and lifecycle excellence, advancing evidence generation, and strengthening stakeholder engagement, anchored in rigorous scientific integrity and full compliance.

In close partnership with Global and Regional Medical Affairs, the candidate will convert strategic intent into patient-centric, measurable impact in Türkiye.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy and Planning: Define and execute the Turkey Oncology & Hematology medical strategy and annual plans, ensuring strong alignment with global priorities while translating them into locally relevant, actionable initiatives that deliver measurable value. Lead cross-functional collaboration to embed medical insights into brand and access strategies, and proactively integrate emerging therapeutic trends, clinical data, and competitive intelligence to optimize performance and impact across the product lifecycle.

  • Launch and Lifecycle Excellence: Lead pre-launch readiness, launch execution, and post-launch medical activities; be accountable for core KPls and robust medical brand plans that differentiate BeOne Medicines.

  • Evidence Generation and Studies: Lead country-level real-world evidence (RWE) and non-interventional study strategy, design, and execution to generate high-quality, locally relevant data. Support interventional studies through feasibility assessments, site identification and selection, and effective study communication. Ensure timely, ethical, and compliant publication planning and dissemination of data to maximize scientific impact and inform clinical practice.

  • Medical Marketing and Market Development: Contribute to therapeutic area strategy and market development by providing strong Medical Affairs leadership and insights within cross-functional teams. Support Market Access objectives and timelines through development of patient and treatment flow models, strategic evidence planning, and engagement of KOLs, while monitoring and addressing post-listing medical considerations. Ensure Medical Information services deliver scientifically robust, accurate, and timely content that supports optimal product use and maximizes value.

  • External Stakeholder Engagement: Function as company spokesperson for oncology and hematology at scientific boards, professional and medical meetings, and committees. Build and maintain a strong network of academic and professional contacts to secure participation of high-quality researchers and clinicians; strengthen relationships with global and local KOLs in priority therapeutic areas, payers, and regulatory bodies.

  • Field Medical Excellence: Elevate MSL and KAM capabilities in high-quality scientific exchange, actionable insight generation, and strategic account planning. Ensure all engagements are compliant, patient- and customer-centric, and aligned with ethical standards, while fostering a culture of continuous learning and effective best-practice sharing across teams.

  • Nominated Signatory / Responsible Manager: Ensure full compliance with Turkish Ministry of Health (TİTCK) regulations and BeOne Medicines’ global standards. Function as the designated Responsible Manager, accountable for oversight of medical and promotional activities in line with local legislation, including review and approval of materials under the Promotion Regulation. Serve as the primary point of contact for TİTCK inspections and official communications, always ensuring audit readiness. Oversee complaint management and support pharmacovigilance and quality processes as required. Ensure implementation of local policies, SOPs, and training to maintain continuous compliance, while upholding the highest standards of ethics, workplace safety, and Code of Conduct.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Commercial, Market Access, HEOR, Clinical Operations, Patient Safety, Quality and Compliance to deliver innovative, patient-centric solutions and evidence generation aligned to business needs.

  • Insights and Competitive Intelligence: Continuously monitor scientific advancements, competitor activity, and evolving regulatory landscapes, translating insights into actionable medical plans and strategic recommendations. Ensure the organization remains at the forefront of innovation by systematically integrating new clinical data, treatment paradigms, and market dynamics into decision-making. Maintain strong scientific currency through active participation in key congresses, engagement with external experts, and ongoing review of the scientific literature.

  • Leadership & Management: Champion BeOne Medicines Values. Set individual development goals, provide planned coaching and feedback, and embed performance management processes to build a high-performance culture. Develop, monitor, and deliver the annual cost center budget.

  • Organizational Development: Build and sustain strong medical capabilities through strategic recruitment, targeted talent development, and succession planning. Lead the design and implementation of departmental development initiatives to enhance scientific, strategic, and leadership competencies. Establish and monitor robust performance metrics and KPIs to track key processes, quality, and impact of medical activities. Foster a culture of continuous improvement by enabling best-practice sharing and cross-functional learning across teams.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Medical Qualification: MD degree from a recognized Faculty of Medicine.

  • Industry Experience: +5 years’ experience in Medical Affairs within the pharmaceutical industry.

  • Therapeutic Expertise: Proven track record in Oncology and Hematology.

  • Strategic & Operational Excellence: Demonstrated success in country-level medical strategy, brand planning, launch, and lifecycle management.

  • Language Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in both Turkish and English.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Strong experience engaging with HCPs, scientific societies, regulatory authorities, and payers.

  • Project Leadership: Proven ability to lead and deliver complex, cross-functional initiatives with strong project management capabilities.

  • People Leadership: Experience in building, leading, and developing high-performing medical teams, including MSLs and KAMs.

  • Compliance & Regulatory Expertise: In-depth knowledge of compliance, ethical standards, and Turkish pharmaceutical regulations.

  • Scientific Communication: Excellent scientific communication skills, with strong experience in presentations, publications, and data dissemination.

  • Advanced Evidence Generation Expertise: Demonstrated experience in real-world evidence (RWE) and non-interventional study design, execution, and publication planning, with a strong understanding of HEOR, market access, and reimbursement dynamics.
