We are seeking a highly skilled individual with solid financial accounting knowledge to join Medtronic's Americas Payments Team. This role involves monitoring and supporting payment execution while ensuring strict compliance with contractual agreements, in a close relationship with multiple stakeholders. The ideal candidate will excel in fostering strong relationships with stakeholders, demonstrating exceptional problem-solving abilities, analytical thinking, and meticulous attention to detail. Additionally, they will play a key role in supporting the company’s audit processes. Strong time management skills are essential to adapt to tight deadlines and effectively prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment. This is a hybrid position in Bogotá.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

• Applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepares internal and external financial reports
• Maintains or oversees the control of accounts and records in such areas as disbursements, expenses, tax payments and income
• Compiles and analyzes financial information to record transactions, prepare reports, and review and verify accuracy
• Prepares balance sheet, profit and loss and cash flow statements, prepares and consolidates financial statements, and other accounting schedules and reports
• Designs, modifies, installs, and/or maintains accounting systems to ensure an adequate recognition of financial transactions
• Responsible for the adherence to and communication of accounting and auditing policies and procedures and internal controls
• May be responsible for month end close, for technical support and accounting of M&A activities and may oversee technical accounting research for complex business transactions and implementation of new accounting standards

 

Required Knowledge and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration and related areas.
• Relevant experience in  Banking platforms
• Fluent in English
• Advanced knowledge with Microsoft tools
• Knowledge with SAP experience is advantageous
