What you will do

The DEAT (Digital Experience and Technology) Operations Manager 1 will possess the ability to lead a high-performing product team, balancing strategic vision with execution excellence. They should have a deep passion for and experience in application management, coupled with an exceptional ability to build partnerships and influence stakeholders. This role involves collaboration with various Amgen teams to enhance and secure network operations.

What you will do

The DEAT (Digital Experience and Technology) Operations Manager 1 will possess the ability to lead a high-performing product team, balancing strategic vision with execution excellence. They should have a deep passion for and experience in application management, coupled with an exceptional ability to build partnerships and influence stakeholders. This role involves collaboration with various Amgen teams to enhance and secure network operations.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Lead and ensure accountability for the agile product team and the prioritized portfolio of software applications.
  • Define and track key metrics, manage capacity across the team, and report on key performance indicators for success.
  • Handle the application support transition processes, develop Business Continuity Plans, and assess changes for impact.
  • Manage completion of periodic access reviews and Integrated System Assessments (ISA) across all applications in the portfolio.
  • Represent software applications in Change Advisory Board (CAB) processes and meetings.
  • Enhance processes related to Maintenance & Production Support.
  • Work with other Information Systems shared services teams (Cloud, DBA, networking, collaboration, etc.) to address infrastructure issues.
  • Manage and mentor staff, providing guidance, career development support, and mentoring to team members, contributing to the talent development strategy.

  • Oversee key risks & issues with efficient queue management.
  • Direct experience with application support on a global scale.
  • Build relationships with application business managers and leads.

Good-to-Have Skills:

  • Comprehensive understanding of software development tools, knowledge and enterprise data management tools
  • Hands on programming skills in at least one area

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
