Operations Manager are responsible for the order fulfillment of Systems Integration Group demand. OM also manages the contract manufacturers (CM) whom are SIG non-captive capacity and partners (Micron internal buyer of SIG tools). Their roles include analyzing SIG overall tool demand from central planning team, sites and other; contract manufacturing capacity and raw material availability to provide supply/delivery commitment to our partners. The position requires OM to collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand the overall business volatility and enable SIG’s execution to maximize Micron revenue through actionable plans and deliverables. Additionally, the OM will also be accountable for inventory management, manufacturing systems, warehouse, and logistics. The OM owns the overall product life management (PLM) in HVM by ensuring the product is operating within the budgeted operational expenses. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Responsibilities and Tasks
Attend and update demand-supply related topics in Product Team Meeting (PTM). Provide/Update weekly update on On-Time Delivery, demand, and supply status updates for management update. Own weekly demand update to the contract manufacturers and supply updates to the customers Accountable of the consigned tools/CAPEX budget modelling for CM capacity. Lead capacity planning and advocate mixed-model capacity, flex capacity, configure-to-order (CTO), critical mass resource planning and innovate new capacity modeling approach whenever needed for capacity scalability, shorter product lead time, and optimum operational cost. Own Business Continuity Plan for their products. Ensuring product operates within HVM budget set by PM: Owns PR Management for tool Consignment and PPV. Responsible to “execute” cost savings and qual activities for their respective product as project managed by PM. Single Point of Contact and manages the CM and partners for order fulfillment. Manage demand scheduling in SAP and at CM. Lead cycle time improvement and process improvement to meet labor/operational AOS, cost, and quality goals. Good leadership skills, growth mindset and ability to work in a dynamic environment is the mandatory requirement for this role.
