About the role

We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Head of Quality to lead our Quality Assurance and Service Engineering teams at our Thailand manufacturing facility, which produces 3 million units of residential, light commercial and VRF (Variant Refrigeration Flow) air conditioners annually. The ideal candidate will bring a strategic mindset, strong cross-cultural communication skills, and an execution-driven approach to drive continuous quality excellence across development, manufacturing, and post-launch support.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance

  • Oversee all QA functions including Product Development Quality, Component Quality, and Manufacturing Quality.
  • Establish and maintain quality standards and systems to ensure compliance with Carrier global standards and customer expectations.
  • Lead advanced quality planning during new product introduction and drive structured problem-solving across the product lifecycle.
  • Act as the key interface between quality, engineering, and operations teams to prevent quality issues before they occur.

Service Engineering

  • Manage the Service Engineering team responsible for field quality performance and issue resolution after product launch.
  • Develop systems to capture customer feedback and field failure data and lead root cause analyses and corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with R&D and product management to implement design or process changes for continuous improvement.

Leadership & Strategy

  • Shape the quality strategy aligned with business goals and future growth plans.
  • Drive a proactive quality culture across the plant by empowering teams, improving transparency, and eliminating bottlenecks.
  • Lead change initiatives across departments with resilience, clarity, and strong stakeholder engagement.
  • Ensure the plant remains competitive by adopting world-class quality practices and continuous learning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or related technical field. A degree from an internationally recognized university is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in quality, engineering, or manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record in managing complex quality organizations within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with fluency in English and Thai.
  • Ability to inspire credibility and confidence across different levels of the organization, including senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
