Job Description

The Day to Day (Responsibilities):

  • Manages and/or the design, planning, construction and maintenance of equipment, machinery, buildings, and other facilities.
  • Plans, budgets, and schedules facility modifications, including estimates on equipment, labor, materials and other related costs.
  • Designs and develops organizational policies relevant to the facilities department.
  • Oversees the coordination of building space allocation and layout, communication services and facilities expansion.
  • May have responsibility for establishing and overseeing health and safety standards.
  • Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
  • Manages and assists in oversite of 3rd party suppliers (Security, Janitorial, etc..)
  • Manage expense budgeting for facility cost centers
  • Support Onsite auditing in coordination with EHS and Quality groups (ISO 9000/14001, SQP, etc…)
  • Creates and executes strategies to ensure sites are meeting the needs of our internal customers including after hour support strategies

Must Haves (minimum qualifications):

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree and 4 years of related experience or Associate’s Degree with a minimum of 8 years of related experience; or 10 years of related experience in lieu of degree; completion of military technical training and field experience may substitute for an Associate’s Degree; high school diploma or equivalent required.

Supervisory and/or Leadership Responsibilities:

  • Establishes operational objectives and work plans, and delegates assignments to subordinates. Senior management reviews objectives to determine success of operation. Involved in developing, modifying and executing company policies that affect immediate operations and may also have company-wide effect.
  • Works on issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives. Implements strategic policies when selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Establishes and assures adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements.
  • Regularly interacts with senior management or executive levels on matters concerning several functional areas, divisions, and/or customers. Requires the ability to change the thinking of, or gain acceptance from, others in sensitive situations, without damage to the relationship.
  • Manages activities of two or more sections or departments. Exercises supervision in terms of costs, methods, and staffing. In some instances this manager may have subordinate supervisors.

The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This job operates in an office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required, which would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 35 pounds. This position also requires 4 to 6 hours per day at a computer screen/keyboard.

Salary Ranges

Individual pay is determined based on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, experience, skills, job-related knowledge, relevant education, certifications, and/or training.  In addition to base salary, we offer (full time regular employees ) a comprehensive benefits package and for certain roles eligibility in our bonus plan and long-term incentives as applicable.  The talent advisor can share more details about total compensation for the role in your location during the hiring process.
