The Manager, Closed-end Fund Accounting Power Opportunities will be responsible for maintaining the books and records for various private partnerships and accounts, as well as reporting to clients and the portfolio group.
Responsibilities
•Assist in overseeing and developing offshore vendor accounting teams, as well as engaging cross-functional partners across Tax, Valuation, Investor Relations, Corporate Accounting, and Reporting & Performance Accounting
• Work with investment professionals in monitoring portfolio performance’s impact on fund performance
•Contribute to cash and capital liquidity management and analysis; prepare strategic proposals for capital calls, distributions, and borrowing needs based on upcoming cash flow requirements and fund disbursements
•Manage the books and records of pooled private investment funds organized as limited partnerships and/or separate accounts
•Develop an understanding of complex fund and investment structures and reporting requirements
•Review complex investment transaction bookings, including purchases, sales, and other investment activities
•Review documentation for investor reporting and fund performance metrics
•Review the calculation of income and expense allocations to each partner, including the updating of distribution waterfall based on the terms of the governing documents
•Review detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
•Coordinate with independent auditors, custodians, prime brokers and/or fund administrators
•Contribute to firm initiatives and/or special projects as needed to drive innovation and efficiency in fund accounting and operations.
Qualifications
•Minimum 5-7 years relevant accounting or audit experience within Big Four public accounting or a mix of public accounting and asset management industry experience
•Strong knowledge of reconciliation and account analysis
•Excellent understanding of accounting and the ability to apply relevant investment company accounting rules
•Solid analytical skills and ability to understand and resolve complex problems;
•Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
•Experience with SQL and Power BI a plus.

Education
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA a plus.
Base Salary Range
$95,000 - $145,000
In addition to a competitive base salary, you will be eligible to receive discretionary bonus incentives, a comprehensive benefits package and a flexible work arrangement. The base salary offered will be commensurate with experience and/or qualifications, industry knowledge and expertise, as well as prior training and education.
