General Summary:

The Sales and Merchandising Coordinator for Discretionary helps to develop, coordinate, and execute in-store visual presentations and marketing strategies to aid in delivering all financial targets including sales, margin, and inventory turnover. The Sales and Merchandising Coordinator collaborates cross functionally with Visual Merchandising, Store Operations, Marketing, and other Merchandising support areas including Planning, Allocation, and Pricing.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

1.     Serve as single point of contact for all presentation and marketing materials and in-store execution activity.

2.     Partner with Merchant and support teams to develop actionable merchandising plans for all Discretionary space including the Seasonal gondola, front end seasonal display, endcaps, and WOW tables that will improve store presentation and overall performance.

3.     Responsible for all weekly and monthly store execution communications, utilizing the Merchandise Bulletin, the Marketing Planner, Sign Portal, and all other store communication vehicles.

4.     Partner with Merchant teams and the Marketing department to develop and maintain marketing/promotional calendars.

5.     Collaborate with Merchant teams and Marketing on layout designs for print materials and signage. Provide inspirational images/layouts where appropriate.

6.     Represent the Discretionary Merchant team in Marketing pre-production meetings communicating the Merchant’s product and merchandising vision to the Creative team.

7.     Work with Merchant teams to coordinate and tag all sample submittals as well as upload all images for all marketing events within the established timeline.

8.     Coordinate all marketing activity across print and digital as well as in-store signage, including all proofing & approvals.

9.     Coordinate and lead marketing brainstorming sessions with Merchant teams to develop coordinated annual themed events.\ across Discretionary linking back to in-store presentation and marketing calendars.

10.   Partner with the Planning, Pricing, and Sales and Promotion teams to maintain the Excell calendar which outlines all pricing and markdown activity in the stores.

11.   Facilitate the setting of seasonal floor sets in the visual merchandising facility.

12.   Provide feedback, solutions, best practices, and ideas on future floor sets to improve performance.

13.   Conducts store visits in support of developing training documentation and workshops for Field associates focused on building visual merchandising and presentation capabilities that reinforces the execution of Brand Standards across all store formats.

14.   Attend weekly business review meetings and apply learnings to suggest changes to visual merchandising and/or marketing to help improve results.

15.   Support SVP in ad hoc projects.

 

Position Requirements:

Office work environment with some local travel to stores as needed., 40+ work hours per week. 

 

Minimum Requirements:

Education:  Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.  Concentration in Fashion Merchandising, Marketing or Textiles a plus.

Experience: 2+ years of experience within Retail including corporate office and/or store experience or Marketing/Advertising experience

Computer Skills:  Proficient in MS Office. Experience in Photoshop, InDesign and/or Illustrator a plus.
