Newaygo Veterinary Services was founded in 1981 and takes pride in the excellent care and service we provide to the community. We are a small animal hospital, 3-Doctor practice looking to add to our compassionate, driven, and collaborative team.

We are in need of an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our experienced, and skilled team. This full-time position offers a 4-day work week. We are looking for a technician with experience in surgical monitoring but are willing to train the right individual as a new graduate. Daily expectations would include, but not limited to: history taking, assisting Doctor in examinations, surgical check in/discharges, laboratory and diagnostics, surgical anesthesia monitoring, dental radiographs, dental prophy, hospitalized patients, prescription refills, online pharmacy maintenance, venipuncture, and technician appointments.

Qualified candidates should have;

  • Prior veterinary hospital experience
  • Hold a current license in the State of Michigan
  • Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Punctual
  • Reliable and trustworthy
  • Excellent computer skills and comfortable with general office equipment
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Accurate medical records and documentation
  • Ability to lift 50lbs repetitively during the day
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Positively interact with clients
  • Compassionate, committed, and motivated

Pay Range Based on Experience: $16-$22
