JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Thorough understanding of drafting PCB layout and design requirements, constraints manager, layer stack-up creation, location of tolerances, dimensions, notes and methods of incorporating engineering changes into existing designs and their documentation
• Prepares formal schematic diagrams, assemblies and component part views from verbal or written instructions
• Creates electronic schematics, PCB layout and symbol library (if needed) on a given timeline
• Collaborates with fellow designers and direct superiors on new designs and revisions of old designs
• Modifies existing drawings to create/incorporate revisions.
• Converts the PCB design to Gerber data and prepares fabrication files to be send to PCB house, as per commit date
• Performs quality check on other designers’ projects
• Assists CAD Engineer on Altium software and usage, design process, good design techniques and effective practices
• Submit monthly accomplishment report including problems encountered, recommendations, new learning, and goals

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• B.S. Degree in Electronics / Electrical Engineering or Equivalent CAD Layout/Schematic Capture Experience
• 2-5 years of hands-on experience in hardware design— schematic capture and PCB design
• Experienced in PCB design using Altium Designer is preferred.
• Experience with Cadence Allegro platform would be advantageous
• Know-how on AutoCAD platform would be advantageous
• Literate in use of computer and office software
• Electronic circuit analysis
• Experienced in Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) PCB design
• Experienced in Schematic and PCB library creation
• Working knowledge in schematic entry and PCB layout using Altium Designer software.
• Knowledge in component datasheets and BOM generation
• Generation of Gerber files and Test Equipment Documentation
• Knowledge in PCB fabrication processes and PCB Design for Excellence-DFx
