WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR 🌟

We’re seeking an Internal IT DevOps Engineer to lead the evolution of our internal IT infrastructure focusing on business process automation and cybersecurity functions, primarily on AWS. In this role, you’ll bring a strong foundation in DevOps principles, cloud operations, and automation tooling to ensure our internal IT environment scales efficiently with the company.

WHAT YOU’LL DO 🚀

  • Manage and maintain internal IT IaaS services (AWS, Digital Ocean, Linode) to ensure smooth operation of our internal systems and DevOps pipelines hosted in the cloud. Our current setup is small, but growing quickly.
  • Enhance DevOps tooling and automation by implementing and improving tools and systems (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) to streamline IT services deployment and automate business processes with platforms such as Temporal, N8N.
  • Collaborate across teams by working with the internal business process automation team to establish shared practices for infrastructure automation, CI/CD, and other workflows (e.g., Github Actions). Facilitate knowledge sharing and best practices that foster seamless integration across teams.
  • Oversee monitoring and incident management by maintaining infrastructure monitoring systems (e.g., Grafana, AWS Cloudwatch, handling critical IT incidents swiftly, and conducting root cause analyses to ensure continuous improvement
  • Lead automation and optimization by using automation tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) to streamline processes and optimize the efficiency of our internal IT (non product) infrastructure.
  • Ensure security and compliance by applying best practices for cloud security, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Work with the security team to address vulnerabilities and enforce security protocols.
  • Implement security logging and monitoring by managing systems for proactive security logging, incident monitoring, and event detection (SIEM) to identify, analyze, and respond to potential security threats.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE đź’Ą

You'll need:

  • 4+ years of experience in an IT DevOps/Administrator role.
  • Solid understanding of *nix environments (Ubuntu preferred).
  • Good knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation tools like AWS Lambda, CloudFormation, Terraform, or Ansible.
  • Good knowledge of DevOps principles, including CI/CD workflows and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Github Actions, Docker).
  • Good understanding of networking, including routing, switching, VPNs, and security best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS is a must, Digital Ocean, Linode, or Azure is a bonus). Good knowledge of AWS services (ALB, NLB, WAF, VPC, Security Groups, CloudWatch, RDS, EKS, etc.).
  • Knowledge of infrastructure monitoring and logging tools, such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, or ELK Stack.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, JavaScript, etc.).
  • Fluency in English.

IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE 🤩

  • AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS SysOps Administrator).
  • Experience with business process automation tools (eg. Temporal, N8N).
  • Knowledge of security logging and incident monitoring tools (eg. Splunk, Wazuh, QRadar, etc.).
  • Knowledge of Spanish.
