As we continue to expand, we are looking for Mobile Engineers to join the team to help drive our mobile app's growth and retention (MAU). Our goal is to build out a best-in-class team of engineers, passionate about developing a centralized platform that provides unified, cohesive and intelligent communications and conversations experience for partners and travelers on Expedia Group across both Web and App. Together, building the future of the organization by solving sophisticated business ideas with state of the art technology.

What you will do:

  • Start with the customer and work backward to drive solutions from UX to service and API layers

  • Development of Android Apps - providing value to travelers and increase usage and feature adoption

  • Set high standards for monitoring and operational excellence getting to know challenges faced by customers and improving the experience

  • Optimize apps for performance and usability

  • Identify and resolve bugs and performance bottlenecks

  • Conduct code reviews, maintaining code quality, and ensuring adherence to coding standards

  • Ensure that visual design is meticulously up to spec and unique Android capabilities are used for a truly native experience

  • Collaborate with back-end developers, designers, product owners to constantly improve customer experience within Android platform

Who you are:

  • You have a Bachelor's or Masters degree in a Technical field; or equivalent related professional experience.

  • You have experience as a mobile applications developer

  • You have proven experience leading Android projects

  • You are proficient in Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and Android Studio

  • You have Familiarity in a couple data stores or API access patterns and integration.

  • Experience working in a multi-functional Agile team

The total cash range for this position in San Francisco is $122,500.00 to $171,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $196,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
