eBay, Inc. seeks Software Engineer 3 in San Francisco, CA
Job Duties: Design, develop and deploy new experiences for eBay sellers and advertisers to promote their products, manage their advertising campaigns, and run their businesses. Build highly available, scalable user facing software applications and Restful AP ls. Develop software systems using HTML/CSS, UI frameworks, Node.JS, Java and Scala. Build, test, and deploy developed code in a continuous manner. Execute as part of a multi-functional agile team that rapidly delivers iterative value to customers. Operate within eBay's internal open-source community where we share a variety of projects and codebases. Effectively collaborate with product, design, marketing, and user research teams. Contribute to technical conversations and debates and decide upon approaches and tools to utilize. Partial telecommuting permitted from within a commutable distance.
Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science plus four years of experience in the job offered as a Software Engineer or in a related occupation. Employer will also accept a bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science plus six years of experience in the job offered as a Software Engineer or in a related occupation.
Special Skill Requirements:
1. Web Applications: Web Applications architecture, HTTP protocols and stand frameworks. (3 years)
2. Ability to write GraphQL APIs. (1 year)
3. Ability to design and present object-oriented class diagrams. (1 year)
4. Application development with Scala. (1 year)
5. Java and J2EE standards. (1 year)
6. Ability to develop high-performance applications by writing testable, reusable, and efficient NodeJS components and APIs. (2 years)
7. Ability to implement new features and maintain existing code using React and other standard tools. (2 years)
Base salary: $165,000-205,700 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
