Associate Project Manager – JLL

What this job involves:

As an Associate Project Manager, you will support senior project management staff in overseeing commercial real estate development, construction, and renovation projects from conception through completion. This role involves coordinating with multiple stakeholders, managing project timelines, and ensuring deliverables meet quality, budget, and schedule requirements while assisting in planning, executing, and monitoring CRE projects including new construction, renovations, and tenant improvements. You will support project scheduling, resource allocation, and milestone tracking while coordinating with architects, engineers, contractors, and consultants to facilitate project meetings and maintain meeting minutes/action items.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Assist in planning, executing, and monitoring CRE projects including new construction, renovations, and tenant improvements
  • Support project scheduling, resource allocation, and milestone tracking
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and consultants
  • Facilitate project meetings and maintain meeting minutes/action items
  • Monitor project budgets and track expenses against approved budgets
  • Assist in preparing cost estimates and change order evaluations
  • Support invoice processing and payment approvals
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation and filing systems
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, zoning requirements, and permit conditions
  • Serve as liaison between project teams, clients, and vendors
  • Prepare status reports and project updates for senior management
  • Coordinate with property management teams for occupied building projects

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Detail-oriented with focus on quality and accuracy
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Collaborative team player with leadership potential
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Basic understanding of construction contracts and legal documents
  • Strong communication skills for stakeholder coordination
  • Experience with project documentation and filing systems
  • Understanding of budget monitoring and financial tracking

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Business, or related field
  • Previous experience in commercial real estate, construction, or project management
  • Knowledge of building codes, zoning requirements, and permit processes
  • Experience with project management software and tools
  • Understanding of construction industry practices and terminology
  • Experience with cost estimation and change order evaluation
  • Knowledge of regulatory submissions and approval processes
  • Experience with client presentations and project communications
  • Understanding of property management coordination in occupied buildings
