Join our Nutra blend team as a Finance/Accounting Manager. Nutra Blend is a business generating annual sales in excess of $2B and is a key piece of Land O' Lakes Animal Nutrition’s business.
In this role, you will be responsible for providing detailed analysis and development of in-depth financial information to successfully support the Nutra Blend business segment. You will work with all levels of the organization to report, monitor, provide insight and manage key financial and non-financial performance indicators.
This position is remote and desired locations are near our facilities in Neosho MO, Madera CA, Mason City IA, or Arden Hills, MN
Key Responsibilities include:
Lead and prepare Annual Budget, Planning, Forecasting and Financial reporting for Nutra Blend Micros coordinating inputs from Feed Supply Chain, Feed FP&A and Feed Accounting. Partner with Executive Leadership to message key drivers of variances, facilitate regular meetings with key business partners to review financial results, address concerns, discuss variances from financial goals and provide insights to key industry and market factors.
Lead and facilitate Month-end close process, providing monthly close and Accounting information to Business Partners such as Feed Corporate Accounting. Prepare monthly outlook of opportunities and risks to Total Nutra Blend performance. Perform ad-hoc analysis to support strategic initiatives, provide data validation and insight to Feed and Corporate business partners
Manage and supervise a team consisting of Finance and Accounting staff. Provide training, development and mentoring to staff. Collaborate with various departments to understand their financial needs and provide support, training, and guidance to business partners on financial principles, enhancing their financial literacy and understanding of the impact of their decisions on the business’s financial health
Manage system integrations between ERP and WMS, manage capital spend, assets, and provide insight for capital requests, executive summaries and develop financial models
Education/Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or Economics along with a minimum of 6-9 years’ relevant work experience. Manufacturing and Agricultural experience preferred
Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and ERP Systems required. Experience with NetSuite ERP system, NetSuite Report Writing and Saved Search expertise, Adaptive Analytics and other business intelligence tools desired.
Independent worker and analytical thinker with ability to conduct research, data analysis and resolve complex problems
Exhibits sound understanding of finance, accounting and audit practices (GAAP, financial statements and cash flows) and of other functions outside Accounting.
Performs advanced financial analysis, applies judgment to analysis, and interprets accounting data to provide recommendations on business decisions. Able to generate actionable insights through sound business acumen
Ability to work under deadlines and shift emphasis when required.
Must have strong technical skills with strong attention to detail required.
Demonstrates ability to effectively lead complex projects.
Effective troubleshooting, problem resolution skills, and the ability to drive change to consolidate, standardize and simplify processes.
Must be able to work effectively with cross-functional teams, maintain relationships with key business partners, and have strong oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrates ability to teach, mentor and develop others in this functional area and drive change in the business
Develops, implements, and enforces policies/procedures for effective internal control. Recommends internal controls that ensure the completeness and accuracy of information.
Salary: $90,000 - $130,000 based on experience
