The Opportunity

In this role you will have the opportunity to support the business by providing an efficient and effective overall HR partnering experience and people management solutions to Egypt team while ensuring alignment between HR policies and business strategies.

What You’ll Do

  • Act as a proactive partner to assigned Managers ensuring high level of service excellence and support.
  • Communicates with and advises Managers regarding all HR related practices, policies and procedures thereby providing an efficient partnering service to stakeholders and enhancing the established business relationship.
  • Help managers to calibrate and differentiate daily life cycle management responsibilities of their teams from hiring to performance management and retention and succession planning.
  • Coordinates and co-facilitates position compensation proposals ensuring compliance with Abbott’s remuneration policies.
  • Handles monthly payroll updates with high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Responsible of HR data protection and related documents verification to comply with internal and external standards for employees’ records and file keeping.
  • Responsible for the preparation and submission of the annual salary / benefits surveys (Towers Watson/Mercer).
  • Support in managing and updating HR related policies, assignments and key projects including partnering in affiliate initiatives that serve better employees’ engagement and satisfaction.
  • Responsible for new hires monthly onboarding process.
  • Maintenance of medical & life insurance plans for affiliate including annual renewal negotiations.
  • Responsible for legal correspondence and follow up with third party legal counselor.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree of relevant discipline.
  • 7+ years of HR Generalist role with recent HRBP experience.
  • Corporate multinational background is essential – healthcare industry experience is a plus.
  • Perfect English language skills.
  • Broad knowledge of HR lifecycle and Egyptian labor law.
  • Attention to details and ability to set priorities.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, tasks and deadlines at the same time.
  • Ability to work well with cross-functional teams and foster team commitment to tasks.
