About the team + role

The Robinhood Credit and Money Security team’s mission is to not only protect Robinhood and it's customers, but also empower the organization to achieve its business goals securely and efficiently.

As a Senior Security Engineer, you will work directly with members of the business as well as engineering to gain an understanding of, and help secure, the products and services offered by Robinhood Credit and Money.

What you’ll do

  • You will conduct comprehensive security reviews of new products and features for existing products and recommend remediation strategies.
  • You will collaborate with engineering and product teams to ensure security requirements are met and standard methodologies are followed.
  • You will research new and emerging security threats to the business and provide recommendations on strengthening the security posture of the business.
  • You will dive deep within the business you support and cultivate a security subject matter expertise

What you bring

  • You have a deep understanding of system and application architecture and are able to assess for security vulnerabilities and identify areas to strengthen
  • You have experience in facilitating code reviews and understand how to recommend remediations identified in SAST/DAST reports
  • You are familiar with the inner-workings of cloud environments and the unique challenges in securing them.
  • You understand how to THINK like an offensive engineer resulting in blue team methodologies
  • You use data for compelling story-telling on our security risk maturity and growth

Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected salary range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed. This role is also eligible to participate in a Robinhood bonus plan and Robinhood’s equity plan.
