Leidos Digital Modernization Sector is looking for a Project Manager (PM) to work on the Army Global Unified Network (AGUN) – Increment 1 (INC1) program. The Global Enterprise Network Modernization – OCONUS (GENM-O) is a critical mission provider responsible for keeping the Army connected through global network modernization projects. The Army Global Unified Network (AGUN) - Increment 1 (INC1) will unify the next generation of Army transport to comply with the Joint Regional Security Stack (JRSS) divestiture mandate. A phased systematic approach is required to provide individual sites with standardized, updated technology systems to ensure the Army’s Information Technology (IT) infrastructure is equipped to provide soldiers with cutting-edge technology to ensure applications, data, and enterprise services are accessible, trusted, and interoperable across the globe.
Provides technical/management leadership on major tasks or technology assignments. Establishes goals and plans that meet project objectives. Has domain and expert technical knowledge. Directs and controls activities for a client, having overall responsibility for financial management, methods, scheduling and staffing to ensure that technical requirements are met. Interactions involve client negotiations and interfacing with senior management. Decision-making and domain knowledge may have a critical impact on overall project implementation. May supervise others.
Primary Responsibilities:
Manages all aspects of Army migrations to the AGUN infrastructure.
Develop processes and procedures to AGUN manage migration processes.
Work with customers on a daily / weekly basis to communicate the latest status and risk to the schedule.
Provide weekly status to the PMO as to the status of site migrations and risk and issues that need to be addressed.
Manage a team of up to 8 migration engineers to support Army migrations. This includes assigning tasks, while ensuring that AGUN processes and schedules are met in a timely manner.
Works with Army, engineers and other stakeholders to resolve issues/obstacles impeding completion of tasks or that delay the schedule.
Work with scheduling team to plan, build and status migration schedules each week.
Schedule and Manage Authorized System Interruptions (ASIs) that will take place in the evenings. This will involve following up with an After-Action Report (AAR) after all ASI activities have been completed.
Basic Qualifications:
Good communications and writing skills.
Will require extend workdays during ASI implementations.
Bachelor’s degree and 8 – 12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6 – 10 years of prior relevant experience. A combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Demonstrated experience working within the Agile framework.
Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification.
US Citizen with a Secret security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience working within Army’s IT infrastructure.
