Introduction to the job

Sales & operations execution is part of integral demand & supply department, which in turn is part of the planning & delivery sector. We drive objective decision-making related to operational and financial planning processes across ASML. You are actively involved in quarter management process and the operational business review, which manages the plan execution is in line with corporate revenue and margin guidance by identifying bottlenecks and real constraints. This position is in the heart of ASML and requires stakeholder management (including senior management and board level interaction) across all business lines and sectors.

Role and responsibilities

The Senior Business Planner tracks progress and evaluates risks and opportunities to identify ways to optimize delivery performance and achieve business objectives within agreed boundaries. You understand business priorities and different stakeholder perspectives and bring transparency on a range of topics. You play a vital role in bringing information together, connecting with all layers in the organization, preparing for decisions (and consequences) by senior management and board level. There will be times where critical prioritization is required in line with urgency and importance. This is a dynamic role with extensive exposure to business lines (BL) and sectors (e.g. sales, supply chain, factories, customer support and finance) within ASML in a very dynamic business environment.

In this role, you will:

  • Identify and manage risks and opportunities in the operational and financial planning;

  • Ensuring that the entire organization is executing to the same plan;

  • Communicate and report on planning decisions, plan execution and progress;

  • Manage allocation processes, including change control in the planning system;

  • Tracks and resolve gaps in forecasts and slotting of system and upgrades;

  • Improving planning policies and methodologies;

  • Leading improvement initiatives and contribute to projects across departments.

Education and experience

  • Relevant bachelor or master degree e.g. business studies, supply chain management, econometrics, controlling or accounting;

  • Experience in S&OP, integrated business planning or financial planning in an international environment;

  • Planning experience in large complex organizations and good understanding of SAP (e.g. ECC, SAC).

  • Team player with good stakeholder management and cultural awareness;

  • Process-oriented and result-driven with a high sense of responsibility and accountability;

  • Strong critical thinking and proactive and communicative personality;

  • Analytical thinking and attention to detail in reporting to stakeholders;

  • Stress resistant and effective under pressure provided strict timelines.
