Description:

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Claims Advocacy team at Marsh Risk as the Head of Power, Energy and Casualty Claims working in our Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane office.  This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office. 

Head of Power, Energy and Casualty Claims

We will count on you to:

  • Provide clients with proactive, strategic advice on navigating the claims process and liaise with insurers to resolve queries and policy coverage issues.

  • Manage, coach, and support a team of advocates, including facilitating technical training and ensuring achievement of internal KPIs and client satisfaction.

  • Lead complex client discussions, claim review meetings, and strategy sessions, delivering subject matter expertise tailored to client needs.

  • Work with our internal stakeholders, Brokers and claims to continue the high level of service including support and attendance where required across tenders and pre loss work.

  • Collaborate with Operations to streamline claims processing and incorporate client feedback to support revenue generation.

  • Drive departmental performance and efficiency initiatives, challenge existing practices, and contribute to quality and compliance targets.

  • Forecast, analyze, and report on team productivity, revenue, and budget to ensure timely and accurate output.

  • Foster a positive, motivating work environment and build strong regional or global relationships to share best practices and support business growth.

What you need to have:

  • 10+ years proven experience in claims advocacy within Power & Energy and Casualty sectors.

  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing teams.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

  • Deep understanding of claims processes, insurer relations, and policy coverage issues.

  • Ability to analyze performance metrics and drive operational improvements.
