Description -
Job Summary
• This role is responsible for ensuring the currency and accuracy of manufacturing processes and associated standard operating and engineering procedures to uphold maximum quality standards. The role involves advanced testing of new products, while also maintaining meticulous records related to quality. The role collaborates on manufacturing engineering projects, cost reduction, and product redesign. The role also leads training programs for production associates, while driving process improvements and mentoring lower-level roles to enhance organizational performance.
Responsibilities
• Works with senior members on manufacturing engineering projects relative to cost reduction, product redesign, and manufacturing quality.
• Ensures that standard operating procedures and engineering procedures are current, accurate, and that all work is done in compliance to ensure maximum quality.
• Tests new products and provides advanced technical assistance to process development and engineering teams.
• Maintains accurate records/documentation related to quality, work in progress, test results, labor, and special projects.
• Develops formal training programs, trains, and leads a group of production associates on various manufacturing processes.
• Partners with engineering and commodity teams to mitigate risks during new technology deployment to production.
• Coordinates departmental work, identifies improvement opportunities, and ensures effective business controls for streamlined processes.
• Collaborates with engineers to enhance and develop manufacturing processes, while also integrating changes across manufacturing systems.
• Leads and assigns responsibilities for complex requests, contributing innovative concepts, and implementing changes for process improvement.
• Analyzes tasks, collaborates with internal partners, and provides mentoring and guidance to lower-level roles, aiming to enhance organizational performance.
Education & Experience Recommended
• High School Diploma/General Education Diploma (GED)/Higher Secondary education or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
• Typically has 8+ years of related work experience, preferably in manufacturing systems and equipment maintenance, machine operation, or a related field.
