Position Summary...

What you'll do...

This position is responsible for the management of labor standards within one or more store departments. An individual in this position will be expected to perform additional job related responsibilities and duties as assigned and/or necessary.

Essential Functions

An individual must be able to successfully perform the essential functions of this position with or without a reasonable accommodation.

  • Responsible for complex departments with a high variability of process in a store. Conducts the analysis of store processes by applying work measurement concepts such as pre-determined time & motion systems and time study; utilizes WFM approach across a variety of complex operations/industries; uses statistical analysis methods to identify anomalies and recommend an approach to address seamlessly within the overall WFM program; conducts the development and analysis of process change impact on facilities, equipment, and personnel activities. Demonstrates understanding of core IE principles.
  • Coordinates, completes, and oversees job-related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders; supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs; identifying and communicating goals and objectives; building accountability for and measuring progress in achieving results; identifying and addressing improvement opportunities; and demonstrating adaptability and promoting continuous learning.
  • Builds and maintains relationships within business area; ensures execution of project plans and timelines that align to the business owner's goals and long-term strategies; provides status updates and technical requirements to internal customers at all levels.
  • Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by training; mentoring; assigning duties; providing recognition; and ensuring diversity awareness.
  • Utilizes quality control measures and provides feedback in order to ensure sustainability; adherence to governance program; utilizes workforce management tools such as reporting, and analysis to achieve set service goals such as utilization and productivity targets.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans; utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy; and providing direction and guidance on applying these in executing business processes and practices.
  • Executes process improvement projects by deriving insights and initiatives from baseline work content that deliver real cost benefit; compares existing processes to industry best practices and company standards.
  • Partners with Home office Customer Engagement team by supporting highly technical ticket resolution by investigating root causes of problems depicted by customers.
  • Creates and maintains project documentation such as data requests, study designs, analysis files, progress reports, method/process/cycle time reviews, interviews, idea logs, etc. Analyzes results of engineering studies performed by Analysts and supports creations of engineered labor standards.
  • Supports Labor Allocation partner in the process of creating and defining expectations for time allocation, task occurrences, task to job code assignation and any expectations that can be collected from time onsite.

Travel

Traveling is necessary to perform one or more essential functions of this position.  Estimated 50% of time spent in the field, local and non-local stores depending on projects and department of focus.

Travels domestically to and from multiple facilities or work-sites during the workday.

Entry Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s of Science in Industrial Engineering or equivalent work experience in industrial engineering, work measurement, continuous improvement or related field.
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience conducting work measurement, predetermined time systems, and related analysis.
  • MOST Certification / ability to become MOST certified

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with change management processes.
  • Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
  • Six Sigma Certification

The annual salary range for this position is $65,000.00-$139,000.00
