WHAT YOU WILL DO

We are looking for an astute, determined professional like you to fulfil a Manager role within Fund Operations. You will showcase your success through collaboration, ownership and innovation. WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

As a Manager within the Fund Operations team you will assume full responsibility of managing the entire financial reporting and cash management of several Real Estate structures (Fund(s) and/or SPVs) being a key finance contact for the Portfolio and Asset Management teams and other internal and external key stakeholders. The Manager reports to a Director in the team or directly to the team head in Luxembourg and responsibilities include:

  • Control of external service providers

- You will monitor, guide and control external service provider(s) in compliance with a vendor governance program.  While the preparation of many of the below mentioned deliverables is outsourced to a great extent, responsibility for accurate and timely completion is retained

  • Financial and regulatory reporting

- Ensuring timely and accurate production of quarterly and annual financial reports of funds and/or SPVs produced by third parties under IFRS or Local GAAP (incl. consolidated reporting) for both open-end and/or closed-end fund structures and segregated mandates

- Preparation and/or review and approval of distribution forecasts and variance reports

- Co-ordination and preparation of financial audits in conjunction with third parties

- Preparation of Internal reporting (e.g. related to fund financials), review and approval of regulatory reporting and any investor specific requirements

  • Fund and/or SPV cash management

- Approval of invoices and authorization of payments

- Transactional support in relation to acquisitions, dispositions and (re)financings especially with regards to operational aspects, deal structure setup and tax matters

- Reviewing of financial/tax due diligence reports

- Calculation and/or review of purchase price considerations based on deal transaction documents

  • Tax compliance and structuring (in collaboration with the fund tax function)

- Ensuring direct and indirect tax filings and tax obligations including FATCA/CRS are managed and reviewing returns from an operational perspective (e.g. consistency of data to source)

- Considering the adequacy of transfer pricing documentation and substance requirements

  • Collaboration and support

- Respond to ad hoc enquiries from internal and external stakeholders including investors

- Adherence to and proactive engagement with the continuous improvement and development of efficient and effective controls and processes

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • Strong academic background: relevant degree level required, professional qualification in accounting is an advantage (e.g. ACCA or similar relevant qualification)
  • At least 6 years of real estate experience in controlling or accounting function (with an audit background followed by an asset management experience preferred)
  • Clear and strong verbal and written communication skills are essential
  • Fluency in English is mandatory, other European languages will be a plus
  • Good Excel skills and competence with other Microsoft Office applications
  • Good commercial and negotiation skills / ability to impart know how and encourage others to find solutions on their own
  • Expertise and technical knowledge of IFRS and Lux GAAP accounting (other European GAAP knowledge will be a plus)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility to adapt
  • Proactive hands on mentality / can-do attitude / inquisitive and self-motivated
  • Strong decision making skills and accuracy where needed and ability to prioritise and put tasks, duties and challenges into the big picture
  • Highly organized, self-motivated with excellent personal time management and communication skills
  • Integrity and reliability, with a commitment to Diversity & Inclusion
  • Ability to anticipate and solve complex challenges or obstacles relevant to the role
  • Good interpersonal skills, team player, capability to interface professionally with various internal and external stakeholders

WHAT WILL SET YOU APART

  • Knowledge of international direct and indirect tax regimes applying to funds and SPVs (including those of Luxembourg)
  • Experience in working with 3rd party service providers, i.e. fund administrators, auditors, tax advisors
